Review posted in Hirsam-Acorn papers (Darien and New Canaan publications), December 2009:
"If you long to hear some really great neo-swing and classic jazz, check out a new band called, of all things, Zoot Planet. They made their debut Sunday night at the Fairfield Theatre Company, and people were literally dancing in the aisles. The five musicians and girl singer are all area musicians, and this catalytic combination was sensational. They did retro swing tunes like "Ragg Mopp", "is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby", and "It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)", classic jazz and blues tunes, all with a few new twists and some with rock-and-roll variations. This concert proved that the "pop music" we're bombarded with today can't hold a Christmas candle to the complex, exciting, foot-tapping tunes like these. Look for Zoot Planet."
